Image High Quality, High Efficiency, and Faster Speed Development of stable products with dispersion under control
TAKAHATA applies quality engineering in its R&D activities to identify optimum conditions from the viewpoints of (1) low cost, (2) stability (reduced customer complaints), and (3) increased development speed.
•Quality Engineering
Quality Engineering is a technique to design products of stable quality under variable operating conditions. Quality Engineering typically consists of two steps. The first step is to evaluate how design parameters affect product quality when the product is subjected to variable temperature and humidity (operating environmental conditions). Based on results of this evaluation, the second step is to identify robust conditions for low dispersion even within changing environmental conditions, and to adjust those conditions to the required target values. Orthogonal arrays, a favorite tool in designing experiments, are used to conduct experiments more efficiently, to analyze data, and to determine design parameters within a short time. Image
