The Procurement Group is staffed with
seven men and seven women workers (four of them unmarried). The average age is a high 38.3, but mentally all are still
in their 20s. (Please refrain from contacting the unmarried workers.)
Their duties include receiving orders from customers, ordering parts, receiving
incoming goods, distributing them throughout the company, and paying the
suppliers. Seventy-five percent of the parts procurement business is handled
by the women (as the responsible personnel, not assistants). Their knowledge
and experience is crucial to negotiations with suppliers.
Though they may laugh, fume, and even cry in their daily work, all strive
to satisfy TAKAHATA’s customers by arranging operations that meet the rapid
delivery times demanded. |
