TAKAHATA Industry Co., Ltd. was
personally founded by Kanzaburo Takahata at Jujo, Kita-ku, Tokyo. Among other
products, the company commenced the manufacture of water meter parts and supplied
them to the Bureau of Waterworks, Tokyo Metropolitan Government. |
| 1941 |
Private company reorganized as
a limited partnership company. Established a new plant at Takinogawa, Kita-ku,
Tokyo. Commenced the supply of parts to waterworks departments of municipal governments
throughout Japan. Commenced the manufacture of precision parts for instruments. |
| 1943 |
Purchased 6,870 m2
of land at Sumiyoshihon-Chou, Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture to construct the
Kofu Plant. |
| 1944 |
Established the head office and
sales office at Nishimaru-Chou, Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo |
| 1959 |
Significant expansion required
to meet sharply increased demand. Purchased 2,064 m2 of land at Ohara-Chou, Itabashi-ku,
Tokyo to construct the Tokyo Plant. Moved the older plant in Nishimaru-Chou, Tokyo
to the new site to form an integrated production system, from parts manufacture
to assembly. |

Moved head office to Ohara-Chou,
Itabashi-ku, Tokyo. Commenced production of plastic gears and other precision
parts to mark the start of full-scale injection molding business. |

Established to prepare for mass
production lines for injection moldings at the Kofu Plant.
Established a tooling department equipped with facilities for manufacturing molds
at the Tokyo Plant. |

Constructed the Welfare Hall
at the Kofu Plant (three-story reinforced concrete building; total floor space
1,061 m2). |

Constructed three new welfare
halls at the former site of the Sengoku office, Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo (three buildings;
total floor space 560 m2). |

Established a new affiliate called
YUTAKASEIKI, LTD.at Nakatomi-Chou(Now renamed "minobu-Chou"), Minami-Koma
County, Yamanashi Prefecture, to increase the company’s plastics processing
capacity (land area 1,981 m2; total floor space 1,167
m2 for three buildings). |

Introduced IBM computers to centrally
control business.
Introduced an automated storage and retrieval system for dies (capacity for 344
pallets) at the Kofu Plant. Also enhanced the die processing facility. |

Marketing division spun off as
an independent company under the name TAKAHATA Kogyo Co., Ltd.
Limited partnership TAKAHATA Industry Co., Ltd. reorganized into TAKAHATA SEIKO
CO., LTD. Newly constructed a head office building and warehouse (two-story steel
frame building; total floor space 857 m2). |

Constructed new office building
at the Kofu Plant (two-story steel frame building; total floor space 215 m2).
Installed a new large-scale verification testing facility for water meters (50
to 200 mm in diameter). |

Designated as the No. 1 company
among those invited to Yamanashi Prefecture under the Yamanashi Prefecture Satellite
Concept. Purchased 28,308 m2 of land at Sakaigawa Village in Higashi County(Now
renamed "Sakaigawa-chou, fuefuki city") to construct a new production
plant (five buildings; total floor space 4,864 m2). |

Completed new facility in the
second round of construction at the Sakaigawa Plant (one building; floor space
1,962 m2). |

Installed a new automatic lathe
and power press facility in the third round of construction at the Sakaigawa Plant
(one building: floor space 854 m2). Transferred from
Kofu Plant. Introduced CAD systems for die design (ME10 to ME30). |

(THAILAND) LTD. in Thailand (land area 4,400 m2; plant

area 20,000 m2; plant area 5,040 m2).

Established a clean room for assembling
medical equipment (total floor space 324 m2) and a meter
durability testing laboratory (water meter diameter 40 to 300 mm; total floor
space 343 m2) at the Sakaigawa Plant.

obtain ISO9001 and ISO9002 certifications collectively. |
